Emily believes seeking help is both one of the most challenging as well as most rewarding things you can do for yourself. She knows it is vulnerable to admit you are struggling, but that when you address your difficulties, you move closer to growth and connection, away from isolation and stagnation. Emily has utilized play therapy and activity therapy with children and teens and traditional talk therapy with adults. She has experience working with foster care and adoption issues, domestic violence, anxiety, grief and loss, depression, PTSD, and relationship conflicts. Emily strives to create a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to explore their toughest thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral techniques to help her adult clients reframe their views of themselves and their experiences in order to enhance self-awareness and attain their goals.
Emily graduated with her Masters in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2017 and is currently an LPC-Intern under the supervision of Norma Cruson, LPC-S, RPT-S. She offers Saturday appointments in Keller. As an LPC-Intern, Emily is not able to accept insurance, but offers a reduced rate of $80 for a 50-minute, individual session.
